"Delivery was kind of all over the place"
The dress showed up later than expected, which was annoying, but at least the tracking actually worked. It arrived in good condition, so that was fine. Just wish it had come on time.

"Super quick delivery"
Not gonna lie, I ordered a dress from shonajoy.com.au and really didn’t expect it to arrive that fast. I got the shipping email almost straight away, and it showed up in about 2 days.
Everything was packed well, tracking was easy, and there were no issues at all. I was just so glad it came before the weekend because it saved me a lot of stress. I’d definitely order again.
"Not really my style"
I took one quick look through the dresses it just wasn’t it for me. The styles feel kind of dated and way too plain for the price. I expected better cuts, but a lot of them looked awkward or like they were trying too hard. Nothing really struck me as something I’d actually want to wear

"Customer service took me back a bit"
I remember sitting there waiting for a reply and feeling that little bit of frustration build up. They did eventually help me out, which I appreciated, but the slow response kind of stuck with me. Overall, the customer service was just okay.

I ordered a dress from Shona Joy and, i was a bit nervous while waiting for it to arrive because colours online can be so hit or miss. I kept thinking it might turn up lighter than the photos, which would’ve made matching shoes a whole thing. But when I opened the package, the colour was pretty much spot on to what I’d seen online. Such a relief, and it made putting the whole outfit together so much easier. Really happy with it, 5 stars from me.

"Honestly, the fabric felt kind of cheap"
It looked nice at first, but after wearing it just once the fabric felt thin and cheap. I was a little disappointed because I expected it to hold up better

"Nice stuff, just a little pricey"
I do like the stuff, honestly, it feels nice and seems worth it, especially if you catch it on sale. Full price might be a bit much for me, but when there’s a discount, yeah, I’d say it’s a good value.

"Ordering was about average"
Checkout was okay, but it felt a bit slow for me. Overall, the ordering experience was around what I expected, nothing too bad but nothing especially great either.

"The sizing made no sense"
I ordered my normal size, it fit like it was made for two different people. The waist was super tight, but the bust was gaping in this awkward way that looked terrible. I figured I could just return it, but of course there are all these little policy loopholes that make it way more annoying than it should be, so now I’m basically paying extra for something I can’t wear. Definitely not taking a chance on their sizing again.

"Never Have My Size"

"Return was fine, just took a little while"
I ordered a dress from Shona Joy and it showed up all good, but yeah, the fit just wasn’t quite right on me, so I ended up sending it back. The return process was easy enough to follow, like nothing confusing, it just didn’t feel very fast.
The refund took a bit longer than I thought it would, and I found myself checking my emails a few times to see what was going on. I did get the money back in the end, so it wasn’t a bad experience or anything, just a little frustrating, especially when the clothes aren’t exactly cheap...

"Still Holding Up Suspiciously Well"
I’ve worn this dress a ton over the past few months and somehow it still looks almost new. The fabric still feels strong, the shape hasn’t gone weird, and I’m starting to wonder what they put in this thing because clothes usually don’t survive me like this. Not complaining though, it’s been a solid buy.

"Do NOT Order from Shona Joy if You’re in the U.S. — Horrible Customer Service and Zero Accountability"
I have two very disappointing experiences with Shona Joy that I feel obligated to share — especially if you're a bride or based in the U.S.
I'm getting married in May and was so excited to try a few Shona Joy dresses for my welcome party. They have beautiful designs, and since they don't have any stores in the States (I live in NYC), I ordered several options totaling around $3,000..
Unfortunately, my package got stuck in customs (not Shona Joy’s fault), and when it finally arrived, it was stolen from my public lobby. I immediately reached out to Shona Joy, explaining the situation and asking if they could resend my package. They refused, saying it was the shipper’s issue, not theirs. Disappointing, but fine—I then asked them to file a claim with DHL since I had signed a signature release but specifically requested the package be left at my front door, not in my public lobby (where it was stolen).
After multiple follow-ups, they finally responded, saying DHL denied the claim because of the signature release. However, when they sent me the actual exchange with DHL, I saw that they never even argued my case properly. They simply accepted the denial without pressing the issue, despite me explicitly asking them to explain the mishandling. At that point, they essentially shut down any further discussion, leaving me with a $3,000 loss and zero support.
As a bride, losing $3,000 a couple months before my wedding is not just frustrating — it’s devastating. I understand the theft isn’t technically their fault, but a company with good customer service would’ve at least tried to support their customer, especially one spending this much money during such a meaningful time.
But unfortunately, Shona Joy does not care about its customers.
To make matters worse, my second experience with them was through my bridesmaid, who ordered a potential dress option I had sent her. The dress was beautiful but didn’t fit, so she began the exchange process — only to find out that Shona Joy does NOT cover return shipping, even for size exchanges. The cost to return the dress from the U.S. to Australia? $350 — more than the cost of the dress itself. We were absolutely shocked. How can a modern brand not offer reasonable return options, especially when shopping internationally is their entire model?
Bottom line: Do NOT order from Shona Joy if you live in the U.S. or value customer service. Beautiful dresses are not worth the nightmare if something goes wrong — and trust me, they will leave you to deal with it alone.

"Misleading and disingenuous"
I purchased a mini dress online, the model on the website was 180cm tall wearing a size AU6, and I am 165cm and ordered a size AU8. There were no length measurements available. I got the dress it fit fine, but it was so short it barely made it past my bum. I emailed to see if maybe it was faulty but they said that it was not, and that the dress was designed to be 60cm length total. I thought I could trust the advertised images, I wish they hadve listed all measurements. There is no way someone who is 180cm tall is able to wear 60cm worth of dress and have it cover all your bits. The advertising is misleading and cannot be trusted. I would not purchase anything online from them again. Expensive lesson learned.

"Great customer service and communication"
I bought a dress on sale and decided it wasn’t suitable for the event I bought it for, they made it clear it was non refundable as it was a sale item but after sending them an email they totally understood and allowed me to send it back for a full refund! The communication was clear and very quick replies via email and the refund was quick! The quality of the dress was stunning! Would def shop here again.
